Students move original, Velcro-backed faces and words to match, identify, label, sequence, and create sentences! Sentences such as, “I feel ________ when I do a good job,” allow the children to label their feelings and improve reading and comprehension skills. Communicate with nonverbal children by having them point to different emotions or place the faces on different pages. The removable pieces can be used for countless games and communication opportunities. Open ended questions at the end of the book allow teachers, therapists, parents, or children to make up their own sentences.
